What is The Pyrmont Curacao?
The Pyrmont Curacao is the island's first Marriott Autograph Collection all-inclusive property, combining Marriott's boutique-branded collection with an all-inclusive model that is relatively new territory for the brand in this format on Curacao specifically. Its own site states the format plainly: all-inclusive, adults only, five-star, inside the Autograph Collection. It sits on the former Cerro Bonito site along Penstraat, next to Pietermaai and a walk from the historic core, and it keeps two restored 19th-century landmarks inside the resort.
On the opening date, be careful, because this is where most write-ups overreach. The property's own website says only "Opening 2026", and its inclusions page adds that it will run a phased opening from October 2026 through May 2027, during which some amenities may be available on a limited basis. It publishes no exact opening day anywhere we could find. Curacao Chronicle reported on August 14, 2026 that the opening is set for November 16, 2026, citing Marriott's booking system showing first available stays from that date, and put the resort at 300 rooms including 28 suites. We are giving you that attribution rather than presenting it as the resort's own published date, because it is not one. Autograph Collection properties are generally positioned as design-forward and independent-feeling rather than a standardized chain look, so on brand positioning alone, this is one to watch for travelers who want an all-inclusive stay without the more generic big-resort feel. First the size: TUI Blue's own brand page for the property lists 297 rooms, not the round 300 the announcement reporting carried. Second, and more useful if you are booking, the date. The September 2026 debut did not happen. The resort's own opening-update page, in a statement dated July 15, 2026, says that after evaluating construction progress with its contractor and an independent project adviser, the new pre-grand opening date has been set for November 1, 2026, preceded by a controlled, phased opening period starting October 20, 2026. That page also warns that finishing work and phased facilities are possible during and shortly after the opening period, which is the normal reality of a new-build resort and worth taking at face value.
The resort sits at Groot Santa Martha on the island's quieter west side, not on either Willemstad resort strip. TUI Blue is TUI Group's own resort brand, already operating properties across multiple destinations, and 297 rooms still puts this among the larger new additions to the island's resort inventory this year. Who this suits: travelers already comfortable with a European tour-operator resort brand, and anyone specifically looking for new inventory during the property's opening season, when introductory rates sometimes undercut established competitors, though we have no sourced number to confirm that will happen here, so treat it as a general pattern rather than a promise. An expansion at an already-operating, dive-focused boutique property is a different kind of addition than the two all-inclusive builds above, more inventory at a concept that already has a track record rather than an entirely new brand entering the market. Will new hotel supply lower rates?
We are not going to state as fact what new hotel supply will do to islandwide pricing, because that is a prediction, not a sourced number. What we can say: the islandwide hotel average daily rate was $305.87 in March 2026, up from $275.44 a year earlier, with occupancy at 88.9 percent, according to Curacao Hospitality and Tourism Association data, meaning the island has been running a tight, high-occupancy market heading into this new supply.
