All-Inclusive Curacao in 2027: Two Openings Change the Answer

The quick answer

Curacao has had five genuinely all-inclusive resorts for years. Two more open in November 2026, taking the correct number for a 2027 trip to seven. TUI BLUE Curacao at Groot Santa Martha has set a pre-grand opening date of 1 November 2026 with a phased period from 20 October, and The Pyrmont Curacao at 16 Penstraat in Willemstad, the island's first Marriott Autograph Collection all-inclusive, is reported by the Curacao Chronicle as opening 16 November 2026 with 300 rooms including 28 suites. The Pyrmont is adults-only and walkable to Willemstad; TUI BLUE welcomes families and sits about 26 kilometres from the airport on the quiet west side. Neither has opened, so no review of either exists yet.

For three years the honest answer to "how many all-inclusive resorts does Curacao have" was five, which is why this island keeps losing bookings to the Dominican Republic and Punta Cana. That answer changes in November 2026. Two large properties open within sixteen days of each other, and from that point the correct number for a 2027 trip is seven.

We want to be exact about what we are doing here. Neither of these resorts has opened. We have not stayed in them, nobody has, and any review you find online right now is invented. What follows is built entirely from each resort's own published material, read directly on 2026-08-29, plus dated trade reporting where the operator has not published something itself. Where the two disagree, we say so rather than picking the more flattering number. Our property-by-property assessments of the five that already exist live in our all-inclusive resorts guide.

What is actually opening, and when

TUI BLUE Curacao, at Groot Santa Martha on the island's quiet Bandabou side, has had the more public journey. Its own Opening Update page carries a statement dated 15 July 2026: after evaluating construction progress with TUI Group, the construction company and MACE Consultancy as independent advisor, "The new pre-grand opening date of TUI BLUE Curacao has therefore been set for November 1, 2026."

The same statement adds a detail worth understanding before you book: "the resort will begin a controlled, phased opening period from October 20, 2026", with stays in that window sold exclusively through the resort's own website and not through tour operators. The Opening Offer page is candid about what that means. Some restaurants and bars may run limited hours, certain amenities may be temporarily adjusted, and not all areas of the resort may be finished. The resort discounts those stays by 20 percent and calls the guests Founding Guests, which is a fair trade honestly described.

This is a second delay, and we would rather you know that than not. A June 2026 update from the resort said around 300 people were working on site daily to finish the build. Treat 1 November as scheduled, not guaranteed.

The Pyrmont Curacao, at 16 Penstraat in Willemstad, is the island's first Marriott all-inclusive. Its own site describes it in one line: "Five-star, adults-only, all-inclusive in Marriott's Autograph Collection." On the opening date the official site says only "Opening 2026". The Curacao Chronicle reported on 14 August 2026 that the resort is scheduled to open on 16 November 2026 with 300 rooms including 28 suites, and that Marriott's booking system was then showing first available stays from that date.

The Pyrmont's own inclusions page adds its own version of the phased-opening warning, and its window is much longer than TUI's: "During our phased opening from October 2026 through May 2027, some amenities may be available on a limited basis." If you are booking the first winter here, read that sentence twice.

So the seven, from November 2026: Sandals Royal Curacao, Dreams Curacao Resort Spa and Casino, Zoetry Curacao Resort and Spa, Sunscape Curacao Resort Spa and Casino, Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao, plus TUI BLUE Curacao and The Pyrmont Curacao. Anything else on the island sold as "all-inclusive" is a meal plan bolted onto a room rate, which is a different product.

They are not competing for the same traveler

The easy mistake is to read "two new all-inclusives" as more of the same thing. They are close to opposites, and the difference is geography.

The Pyrmont sits on the south coast on the edge of Pietermaai, a short walk from historic Willemstad. Measured on the road, the airport is about 13 kilometres away and Punda is barely 3.5 kilometres from the door. The resort's own wording is "a short walk to historic Willemstad and twenty minutes from the international airport", which matches what we measure. Its two restored 19th-century landmarks, the Cerro Bonito building that now houses the restaurant and Kas di Pueblo that houses the spa, are the reason it carries the Autograph Collection badge rather than a standard Marriott flag. Per the Curacao Chronicle it will also have an on-site dive and water sports centre, an infinity pool with private cabanas, and a 250-metre boardwalk with a breakwater creating a near-enclosed swimming area.

TUI BLUE is 26 kilometres and something like 35 to 40 minutes from the airport on the far side of the island, on Santa Martha Bay. From there Willemstad is roughly 34 kilometres and three quarters of an hour of driving. What you get in exchange is west-coast proximity: Cas Abao is about 13 kilometres away and Grote Knip about 12, both well under half an hour. This is a beach-and-nothing-else base, and the resort's own materials lean into it, with a private white-sand beach, an infinity main pool, an adults-preferred sunset pool, kayaks and paddleboards included, and a tour desk, car rental and dive shop on site.

The honest caveat on The Pyrmont: an urban beachfront on Curacao's south coast is not a west-coast cove, which is exactly why the developers are building a breakwater. If your mental image of Curacao is the cliff-backed sand at Grote Knip, that is a 50-kilometre drive from Penstraat.

The honest caveat on TUI BLUE: this is not a base for anyone who wants dinner in Pietermaai on a whim. Two evenings out in Willemstad from Santa Martha Bay means about an hour and a half of driving, and the resort does not include an airport transfer in its list of inclusions.

Which one suits which trip

Adults only versus everyone. The Pyrmont states adults-only on its own homepage. TUI BLUE explicitly includes a Kids Playground and a Games Room in its published inclusions alongside Family Rooms in its room list, so it is built for mixed ages. That single fact decides the choice for a lot of people. If adults-only is the requirement, our adults-only hotels guide covers the rest of the field, including which properties are genuinely child-free and which only sound it.

Car or no car. The Pyrmont includes a round-trip airport shuttle in its published inclusions, which is unusual on this island and genuinely useful if you intend to stay put and walk into town. TUI BLUE does not list a transfer, but does list an on-site car rental desk, which tells you what it expects you to do. Our car rental guide covers the pickup mechanics either way, and if you are still deciding between coasts, west versus east is the argument in full.

What the rate actually covers. TUI BLUE publishes a detailed list: daily buffet breakfast and dinner, a beachfront lunch buffet at IVO Beach, unlimited cocktails, wines, beers, juices and soft drinks, 24/7 grab-and-go, gym and fitness classes, live music and evening entertainment. The line worth noticing is "3 a la carte dinners per stay at specialty restaurants". Specialty dining is capped, not unlimited, which is a Caribbean norm but not what a first-time all-inclusive guest always assumes.

The Pyrmont's inclusions page lists dining, beverages, in-room dining, minibar, butler service, resort activities, fitness, water activities, pools and beach, and that airport shuttle. Its optional extras list is the more instructive one: concierge services, spa treatments, and activities and tours. Spa is extra. Excursions are extra.

What a Punta Cana traveler should expect to be different

This is where Curacao all-inclusives break the pattern, and it is worth setting expectations before you arrive rather than after.

Excursions are almost never included anywhere on this island. The day sails to Klein Curacao, the Christoffel park jeep safari, the Willemstad walking tour, the distillery tour: all of those are booked and paid separately regardless of what your room rate covers. The full catalogue is on our activities page.

Beaches are not free by default either. Several of the island's best coves charge an entrance fee, which is a genuinely unusual thing to explain to someone who has only done the Dominican Republic. We keep the current fees in one place on our beach fees page.

And the island's food scene is a real reason to leave the property. Curacao has a deep restaurant culture from market stalls to waterfront tables, covered in our dining guide. An all-inclusive that never lets you out of the gate is a worse Curacao trip, not a better one.

Does a new opening mean better value in year one?

Sometimes, with a trade-off that both of these resorts have now put in writing themselves.

TUI BLUE is discounting its 20 October to 1 December window by 20 percent and saying openly that facilities may be incomplete. The Pyrmont has told you its phased period runs into May 2027. That is the deal on the table: a lower price or a newer property in exchange for accepting that something will not be finished. The June 2026 TUI update went further than most operators would, advising anyone who wants the resort fully settled to rebook for later in the year, and offering a discounted stay at its sister property, the Avila Beach Hotel, as an alternative.

What we will not do is quote you a nightly rate. The Curacao Chronicle reported initial Pyrmont rates advertised in the upper 600 dollar range in August 2026, and opening rates move fast enough that any number we print here would be wrong by the time you read it. For context on the market these two are entering, Curacao's islandwide hotel average was 305.87 dollars a night in March 2026 per Curacao Hospitality and Tourism Association data. Compare live rather than trusting a figure in a blog post, including ours: our stays desk and hotels hub are built for exactly that.

One conflict we are not going to resolve for you

The Pyrmont's own homepage refers to "six restaurants and bars". The Curacao Chronicle's August 2026 report describes eight restaurants and five bars including a rooftop bar. Both cannot be right. Our guess is that the higher figure counts venues planned for the full build-out and the lower one counts what opens first, but that is a guess and we are labelling it as one. If the number of restaurants is load-bearing for your booking, ask the resort directly.

Similarly, trade reporting gives TUI BLUE Curacao 297 rooms. TUI's own site does not publish a room count anywhere we could find. We will report that number as trade press rather than as fact until the operator says it.

Where this leaves a 2027 trip

Curacao is adding roughly 600 all-inclusive rooms in sixteen days, on an island where 788,427 stayover visitors arrived in 2025 and 56 percent of them chose resort hotels, per the Curacao Tourist Board. Supply is arriving into real demand rather than ahead of it.

For a first winter, our read is straightforward. Book The Pyrmont if you are a couple who want the city, the food and the history within walking distance and are content with a built beach. Book TUI BLUE if you want the west coast, the quiet and the space, and you are renting a car anyway. And if either of those phased-opening warnings makes you uneasy, the five that already exist are open, tested and reviewable, which right now these two are not. Our best hotels on Curacao ranks the whole field against each other.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many all-inclusive resorts does Curacao have?

Five today, and seven from November 2026. The five open now are Sandals Royal Curacao, Dreams Curacao Resort Spa and Casino, Zoetry Curacao Resort and Spa, Sunscape Curacao Resort Spa and Casino, and Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao. TUI BLUE Curacao and The Pyrmont Curacao join them in November 2026. Anything else on the island advertised as all-inclusive is an optional meal plan attached to a room rate, which is a different product.

When does TUI BLUE Curacao open?

The resort's own Opening Update page, in a statement dated 15 July 2026, says the new pre-grand opening date has been set for 1 November 2026, with a controlled, phased opening period beginning 20 October 2026. Stays in that phased window are sold only through the resort's own website and carry a 20 percent opening discount, and the resort states openly that some restaurants and bars may run limited hours and not all areas may be complete. This is the second delay, so treat the date as scheduled rather than guaranteed.

Is The Pyrmont Curacao adults-only and is it a Marriott?

Yes to both, on its own authority. The resort's homepage describes it as "Five-star, adults-only, all-inclusive in Marriott's Autograph Collection". It sits at 16 Penstraat in Willemstad on the edge of Pietermaai. The Curacao Chronicle reported on 14 August 2026 that it is scheduled to open on 16 November 2026 with 300 rooms including 28 suites, though the resort's own site still says only "Opening 2026".

Where is TUI BLUE Curacao and can I do the trip without a car?

It is at Groot Santa Martha in Soto, on the Bandabou side of the island, about 26 kilometres from the airport and roughly 34 kilometres from Willemstad by road. That puts Cas Abao and Grote Knip within about 13 kilometres, but Willemstad is around three quarters of an hour each way. The resort does not list an airport transfer among its inclusions and does list an on-site car rental desk, which tells you what it expects. The Pyrmont, by contrast, includes a round-trip airport shuttle.

What is not included in a Curacao all-inclusive?

Excursions, almost universally. Klein Curacao day trips, park safaris, walking tours and dive trips are booked and paid separately whatever your room rate covers. Several of Curacao's best beaches also charge an entrance fee, which surprises travelers used to the Dominican Republic. Specialty dining is often capped rather than unlimited: TUI BLUE's published inclusions allow three a la carte dinners per stay at specialty restaurants. The Pyrmont lists spa treatments, tours and concierge services as optional extras.

Is it better value to book a Curacao resort in its opening season?

Sometimes, and both new resorts have put the trade-off in writing. TUI BLUE is discounting stays between 20 October and 1 December 2026 by 20 percent while stating that facilities may be incomplete. The Pyrmont says its phased opening runs from October 2026 through May 2027 with some amenities available on a limited basis. You are trading a finished product for a lower price or an earlier stay. TUI's own June 2026 update went as far as advising guests who want the resort fully settled to rebook for later in the year.
