Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, is the property almost everyone means when they search for the Corendon hotel on Curacao. It is the biggest hotel on the island. It is also, by some distance, the most confusingly named, which is the single most useful thing we can help you with before you book.
One piece of housekeeping first. This is an informed local assessment, not a review of an overnight stay. We have not slept in a room here and will not pretend otherwise. What follows comes from the resort's own published material, its two separate Hilton listings, Corendon's press releases, and the themes that recur across public guest feedback. Where the property's own numbers contradict each other, and they do, we say so.
The short answer
Yes, it is genuinely all-inclusive, and yes, it takes all ages. It is Dutch-owned, by the Corendon Group, whose founder Atilay Uslu built it out of the old Holiday Beach complex. It sits on a private beach on the Rif coast at Otrobanda, wrapped by mangrove park, a walk from Willemstad's historic core. It is the largest and most family-oriented of Curacao's five real all-inclusive resorts. And it is not one hotel but two adjoining ones under near-identical names, which is where most booking mistakes happen. The name, decoded
Four names circulate for what is effectively one complex, and booking sites list them semi-separately:
- Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton. The full, official name of the original and larger wing. Hilton's own pages shorten it to Mangrove Beach.
- Corendon Mangrove Beach Resort. The same hotel under the owner's own branding, the name Corendon gave it when it rebuilt the outdated former Holiday Beach complex. Most Dutch package listings still use it.
- The Rif at Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao All-Inclusive, Curio Collection by Hilton. A separate, newer 384-room hotel next door: same owner, same Hilton collection, its own front desk and its own reviews.
- Curio Collection by Hilton. Not a name, a Hilton soft brand. It signals a Hilton-affiliated independent property, not a standard Hilton.
So when a booking site shows you two Mangrove Beach Corendon results at different rates, that is not a duplicate listing or a glitch. Those are two different hotels, and which one you pick changes your week. That confusion is the reason this guide exists.
What the resort actually is
The main wing opened on September 1, 2021 with 399 guest rooms, per Hilton's own announcement, built as 381 rooms plus 18 suites in Corendon's 2019 plan. One operator listing puts it at 401. Take roughly 400 as the honest figure. Add The Rif's 384 and the complex runs near 780 rooms, which is how it clears every other hotel on Curacao. For accuracy: Corendon's 2019 announcement projected over 850 rooms and the title of largest hotel in the Caribbean once both phases were done, so the built result came in under the press release. It is still the island's biggest.
The centrepiece is the aqua park: six water slides open daily from 10:00 to 18:00, including the King Cobra, which the property describes as the only slide of its kind in the Caribbean. Alongside it are a splash playground, four outdoor pools, a children's pool, a private beach with massage cabanas and a replica of Willemstad's pontoon bridge, watersports, a fitness centre, and a PADI dive centre.
On dining, the counts disagree depending on which of the property's own pages you read. Corendon's facilities page lists 5 restaurants plus 7 bars and lounges. Hilton's homepage says 12 restaurants and bars in its headline and 10 in its page description. Hilton's 2021 opening release said nine outlets. All describe the same wing. Read it as nine to a dozen: a buffet, several a la carte restaurants, and a lot of bars, including a cigar and rum lounge and a hookah lounge. The Rif adds four restaurants and two bars.
One correction to a common assumption: the beach spa is not part of the all-inclusive. The massage cabanas are billed separately, as are the dive centre, island tours, and the on-site doctor's clinic. Food, drinks, the aqua park, and the daily activities are included.

The Rif wing versus the main resort: which to book
The Rif opened in December 2023 and is the newer, quieter wing. It is built around one large palm-lined pool rather than a water park, it has swim-up rooms with direct pool access, family rooms arranged as two adjoining rooms, and its own set of a la carte restaurants. It is still all ages, so do not book it expecting an adults-only bubble.
Here is the part that decides it. The published access runs one way. The Rif's own materials promise its guests the restaurants, bars, and facilities of the main resort next door, aqua park included. We found no official copy promising the reverse, so a booking at The Rif buys you both hotels while a main-resort booking should not be assumed to buy you The Rif's restaurants. Confirm it with the property, because that is the kind of detail that changes between seasons.
Put plainly: book the main resort if the aqua park, the wider dining lineup, and the livelier atmosphere are the point, especially with kids who will live on the slides. Book The Rif for newer rooms, a calmer pool, and the option to walk next door for the noise when you want it. Guests commonly note the beach is better on the main-resort side and the pool is better at The Rif, which matches how the two were built.
The Dutch factor, honestly
Corendon is a Dutch tour operator, airline, and hotel group serving the Dutch, Belgian, and Danish markets, and it has invested heavily on Curacao, close to 200 million euros across its island hotels in the five years to 2023 by its own account, along with added capacity on the Amsterdam route. The Netherlands is Curacao's largest single source market, 31 percent of first-half 2026 arrivals according to the Curacao Tourist Board.
The result is predictable: a heavily Dutch guest mix, Dutch-language service, Dutch families on package holidays, and Dutch tastes in the buffet and the entertainment programme. For Dutch readers that is most of the appeal. For US and Canadian readers it is context, not criticism. The resort sells through North American operators too, so you will not be the only English speaker, but it was not built around the American all-inclusive template, and expecting one is how people end up disappointed by something working exactly as designed.

Who it is for, and who should pick something else
It is for families who want a water park, a real beach, a lot of food options, and everything paid for before arrival. The honest caveats
Scale is the real trade-off. Around 780 rooms across three main buildings plus a second hotel means buffet queues in high season, competition for shaded loungers, and walking. Guests commonly note that a la carte reservations can be hard to secure, that the shade spots go early, and that the man-made beach is pleasant but rocky in places, with water shoes a recurring recommendation. None of that is disqualifying. It is what a resort this size looks like, and it is exactly why some travellers should pick a boutique property instead.
The location cuts both ways, and it is widely misdescribed. The resort is not in Piscadera Bay, where Dreams Curacao, Zoetry Curacao and the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort sit further west. This one is closer in, at 31 Pater Euwensweg on the Rif coast at Otrobanda, beside Rif Fort and the mangrove park. From here Otrobanda and the Queen Emma pontoon bridge are a walk rather than a drive, an underrated advantage over the Piscadera resorts if Willemstad is part of why you came. But the famous west-end beaches, Kenepa, Cas Abao, Playa Lagun, are still a drive, and no resort on this coast changes that. Finally, the drinks. The Rif's Hilton listing advertises unlimited drinks and room service, while one North American operator listing for the main wing specifies domestic-brand alcohol. Premium spirits policy is the one thing we could not pin down consistently, so confirm it against the rate you are actually booking rather than a brochure line.

Curacao has five genuinely all-inclusive resorts: this one, Sandals Royal Curacao (the island's one strictly 18 and over all-inclusive), Zoetry Curacao (adult-oriented, though children are permitted), Dreams Curacao on Piscadera Bay, and Sunscape Curacao over on the Mambo Beach strip. Corendon Mangrove Beach is the biggest and most family-focused of them, and the aqua park is the reason to choose it over the other four. Book The Rif for newer and calmer with full access next door, the main resort for the water park and the buzz, and never book either by name alone without checking which wing your rate belongs to.
